Covid 19 – update 06-11-2020
Firstly due to Government restrictions imposed back in March 2020 and by the latest lock-down announced by the Prime Minister this week it is with regret that The Organ Theatre remains closed to the public until further notice.
To all of our dear friends ,colleagues and patrons of St Albans Organ Theatre (SAMMS) we hope you are all safe and well during such challenging times since the pandemic started and beyond.
The staff at the Organ Theatre all miss very much welcoming you to our open days and concerts and other events and is it very sad that we cannot all meet up at this present time.
We must of course act responsibly and follow the guidelines set out for us.
We are working on practical ideas of how we might operate with social distancing implemented once restrictions are lifted and we deem it not only safe but also financially viable to do so.
Please bear with us in the current time frame but please also be assured how important to us The Organ Theatre collection is to each and every member of staff that help to run it also.
We are working under safe conditions to maintain the instruments in full playing order and condition so that we can show them again when we all come out of this on the other side.
We will keep you posted – please stay safe and take care.
St Albans Musical Museum Society (SAMMS), otherwise known as St Albans Organ Theatre, has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
